Hi all,
I bought a Twitch recently and same much as I liked my Serato SL1 when it was brand new (it was so simple and straightforward but in fact there was nothing more to do in this early times of virtual vinyls..), I am disappointed by the Itch :-(
I like the gui because it remains so nice and clear but the rest is sooooo limited when comparing with its biggest competitor - Traktor...
I realized that I can customize/setup nearly nothing....-there is no way how to set a sensitivity of the Twitch, change behavior of some of the controls that I'd like to use different way that it currently is, I can't add or remove ui elements that I don't need (that rotating "vinyl" for example) the sync makes completely no sense, I can't use another soundcard (what makes no sense because the Itch didn't work without a proper hw controller so why should I use that crappy soundcard in the Twitch when there is Motu laying on my table?!?! ) and I could continue much further... btw. - there is no bridge support?!?! Its few years ago it was released.....
WTF? - Is that some kind of joke or did I downloaded some early beta or the Itch is really such a piece of child toy combined with uncustomiseable blackbox??

Oh well. Guess you should have researched the software a little more closely before you bought.
There is a Traktor overlay in the box so you can use Traktor if that suits you better.

"Disappointed by the Itch"
Wrap it up next time.
I kid, I kid. Seriously, though. I'm blaming this one on the end user. Why buy something so expensive with such ramifications without knowing exactly what it was that you were getting? Hell, practically every Guitar Center in the United States of A (and most big box and warehouse pro audio shops) will let you demo any floor equipment if you ask.

I agree 100%, this is nothing more than user error. The user failed to do proper research on said product and now blames product for preforming as it should. Unfortunate but true....

I knew what I've been buying and I wouldn't change..-all I want to say is that there are some things that have a potential to be done better - for instance the possibility to use external soundcard and the bridge...

So then have patience. If you want ableton you can use ableton with twitch.
I just got a xone dx , and I'm starting to hear the feed back others give on it.
But I purchased it and I will make the most use of it. If at all it doesn't meet my needs I sell and purchase what fits the bill.
Hell I can't even figure out how to find my files on traktor with the xone dx. So I just use what I know.

then why are you complaining, this dont make sense.
lesson learned : buy dj gear for what it CAN do, not what you HOPE it will do in the future.
but you brought it anyway instead of Traktor, WHY ?
BUT you claim you knew this before you brought it, RIGHT ?
BUT you you knew twitch had a crappy soundcard before you brought it, RIGHT ?
So twitch is like a "child toy" BUT you claim you knew this before you brought it, an you purchased it anyway ?
I'm completely confused, please explain to me why you buy twitch ?

Well mostly because of the hardware - the hw is exactly what I need/want...
It fits to my setup and my style of mixing and I'd like to use it with the Itch but there are few downsides that I listed above complicating me the usage of the Itch (mainly the missing bridge, external soundcard and midi mapping/controller customization)
I did - of course I can take the twitch and map it to ableton exactly as I want but Itch have a potential to be better in some aspects (hot cues for instance) and in some situations (pure djing) but lets face the fact that it would be better to use the bridge side by side with the apc if there is some to have bes of the both worlds.
I don't understand why everyone is trying to persuade me that I am an absolute idiot if I say that I am disappointed by something because I miss some functionality that would be nice to have and which will completely fulfill my needs . Omg its like to watch a discussin with some apple enthusiasts on android forums.... :-)
There are many other threads where others says that they are missing some features..
