Hello all...
First, I am building a coffin style rig to stay in my studio. I already have four mobile DJ/VJ systems and I'm not wanting to go with a mid-level mixer with this rig.
In the mobile rigs I already have a 57SL with CDJs and another mobile rig with the NS7FX both of which are setup for video work. I also have a Hercules RMX with VDJ Pro and another rig with an Allen & Heath ZED-12FX mixer and CompuHost for my Karaoke setup.
I've been out of the technology loop on knowing good mixers out there for use with an SL1 box and the capability to work with the Video-plugin....or even if it can be done wih the SL1 box.
I would consider my budget for a two channel mixer at no more han $300.00.
This system will be used for my video mixing streaming channel and this is why I want to keep it in the studio.
Thank you for any help.
Mark

Doh! I gotta lay off the Red Bull....
I mean a 10" mixer....and I meant I am looking for a mid grade mixer in staying under my budget of $300 or under as I don't feel I will find a mixer in a higher quality for under my budget....at least I don't think so.
Here is a link to my coffin I'm working with:

Your main issue will be finding a mixer for that price that allows MIDI assigning of the crossfader and upfaders (to control your video transitions). There is a Denon battle mixer, not sure of the model, that may be your best bet. Not many 10" mixers with this function, and most are spendy!

Eric, thank you for the info on this.
Yea, what you pointed out is all of which I was worried about...
So far...it looks like I will have to either raise my budget and or swap out coffins for one up to a 19" mixer as it will open my options more.

Phatbob, this Vestax Mixer will do the trick in using it with the video plug-in as well without purchasing additional hardware?
Thanks

The video plugin will not work with the Vestax unless you use some outboard midi device to control the video fades - mouse mixing video in addition to Vestax mixing Audio blows balls
Under $300? Hmmm - you might try and find a VCI-300 Itch controller when the VCI-380's come out - they will probably go down in price. They control SV natively

The 05Pro VI has midi faders, is 10" wide and is the cheapest midi enabled option in that form-factor that I know of.
There might be a midi mappable Denon around the same price but I'm not really familiar with Denon gear.

I'm an old school DJ getting into serato video.
I have technics 1200 turntables with a vestax 05 analog mixer.
I got the rane sl2 and dicers to set cue points and loop rolls etc.
I'm all good except I need a 2 channel midi scratch mixer like my old vestax as far as fast crossfader to cut... But I need it to be midi assignable for the video while keeping the sme audio crossfade function as my old school vestax.
I know about the expensive rane mixers but I like my dicers and just need the crossfader to work with serato video. Any mixers for around 300 that will do this???
I'm having trouble figuring out which mixers will do what I want.
Thanks so much!
Josh

There's nothing in that price range. You wanna play video, you've gotta pay.
The good news is that the latest Vestax 05, the 05 Pro VI, has midi faders plus a few extra midi buttons. It'll set you back more than 300, but it's one of the cheapest options.
