Does anyone know if the Vestex VCI MK 2 automatically syncs the faders with Serato Video without having to use a MIDI? For Example Will it work as if I had the 57? Or will I need to manually switch the videos with the keyboard?

They are mapped to the video faders & can be unlinked via the corresponding link buttons. You don't need to use the keyboard or mouse.

Great! I'm sold I'm definitely going to buy one. Is there any certain bugs I should beaware of?

Check the help forums for Serato Video - there are a couple, but they are pretty minor. I've used my VCI for video without any major issues. The only thing really lacking at this point is the ability to map video FX, transitions, etc to the VCI or an outside controller. You have to do all of that with your mouse/trackpad still...

Sorry if I was confusing. The upfaders and crossfaders are linked - so if you just set it one one basic transition style and leave it, yes, you can just play with no laptop and it will all do what it's supposed to.
What I meant is that if you want to change WHICH transition you are using, use FX, assign video clips to MP3s, or do anything else with the video settings, you have to use your mouse/trackpad/keyboard.

^^^ play without touching the laptop, not with no laptop altogether. That would be pretty cool though lol.
