i have made about three video remixes using vegas, but when i render them the will not play in VSL. is there a certain way i need to render them? i have tried avi and MP4 but had not luck. currently using vegas 8.0 if some can help me out.

I use the mainconcept avc/aac codec in vegas. 640x480 1.0 par, 2mbps vbr, 320 aac audio. Works fine.
Can u play other videos at all or is it just your remixes?

yo twizzle i figured it out. i thought since they couldn't play in quicktime they wouldnt play in VSL but i was wrong. got it to work now :). thanks

one last question D-Twizzle :). When you do your video remixes how much quality do you lose? is it a lot or does it depend on the file type you start with?

D-TWIZZLE what is 1.0 par? what does par stand for. and the video bitrate is 2000kbts then right which equals 2mbps?

tWIZZLE I GOT THE VEGAS NOW BUT WHEN i RENDER THE NUMBER IN THE VARIABLe bit rate GOES TO A MILLION 76800 to 1,000,000 which do i put it for. there is a constant bit rate option.

1.0 pixel aspect ratio. Compared to .9091 pixel aspect ratio for 720x480 which is how standard promo only dvds come.
2000kbps = 2mbps
You shouldn't lose much quality at all with those settings, but there has to be some loss. Think of it as ripping a cd file to a 192-256k mp3. Most can not hear a difference at all, but there is loss there.

I can't figure Vegas out Twizzle. now I get no audio and it runs through quick and still white screens my other convertor at least i had audio
