from the comments on the page, it sounds like you need to be on the 2.5 beta. or some kind of firmware update.

It sounds like you would need to use a bunch of effects all at one time for you to get into beast mode...

In his picture the low knob is pointing to the Robot button and the booth knob is pointing to Reverb. Since Mega Man is a robot it would make sense that this button has something to do with it.

Maybe you need to hold down the Robot button while putting in the Contra code on the joystick and then hitting the Reverb button to finish it off? I don't have a 62 (yet) but I enjoy trying to figure these kind of Easter eggs out.

I have no clue how to get into this beast mode. I don't even own 62, but i still cant help but wonder what it could be. I want to know what this fabled beast mode does, and how to turn it on. I found other easter eggs to be a big pain in the ass and never practical todo use all of the time due to the way's to activate them.

All I've seen was a video a while ago of someone using it and from what I could tell, all it was doing was auto-loading songs as the needle was dropped on the record. I didn't really pay much attention to it though. If it's not ready for the SSL masses, then it's most likely not stable to use.

no it loads from the library but just like the next song on flip feature

He uses 2 vinyls, 1 side A and the other side B. Enabling the 'load song on record flip' does the trick. No beast mode needed.

Rane and/or Serato has offered an option to a few select individuals and have not offered it to all. Rane / Serato customers are not all equal. Some are considered elite and more special than others. Not sure what criteria is used to consider who receives these special options.

I say it's better to keep these items hidden from the masses.

the rane guys are the ones putting in work... hence beastmode.... it's the serato guys lagging with fixing things like the track scroll not working with the prepare window open in 2.4.4. or getting scratchlive up to par with more bugs, fixes, suggestion requests from 2005... etc. So Serato (not rane) are the ones slacking on getting scratchlive to play nice with beastmode ;)
