Sounds like your update has got stuck. The update should restart as soon as you load SSL. If it doesn't try plugging your mixer into a different laptop, you can use a windows one if you don't have another mac to hand. It's safe to turn the mixer off if you need to move it somewhere else to do this.

i turned off the mixer numerous times and when i plug it back im the eq lights are still red. and the screen is says, "hardware disconnected". i also re-installed 1.8, but that didn't help either. i have another pc, but it doesn't have serato on it.

i was told to shut the 57 off. restart scratchlive. then hold down the two high kill buttons down together as you turn on the 57. the software updated automatically and everything worked fine.

if you hold down both high kill buttons, you downgrade youre firmware...

really? that's not what shaun stated. well, it worked.

Downgrade it with the current firmware of the current started SSL version. So if it was 1.8 you're gonna enforce a rewrite of the firmware I guess.
