seems like an itch issue and not an serato videos problem.
did you start a help ticket for itch?

Works fine for me.
If you have 'set beatgrids' enabled and smart sync activated, but you still don't have grids, start an Itch help ticket because as tomatoslice said this has got nothing to do with Serato Video.

Hi, no I have not. I have just realized that I can ad the grid myself by "grid edit" + "tap" to get the tempo and then "x"to set the start point . This helps when i know the bpm. Its just strange that it does not do this automatically like with my audio files.

yes i think there might be something wrong with the audio on my videos. I render the files as a quick time uncompressed out of afrtereffects. This means that the audio gets converted from mp3 to wav. Then I compress the file in quick time pro: h264 for the video and for sound:
Format:AAC
Channels: Stereo (LR)
Rate: 44.100 khz
mpeg 4 AAC LC encoder setting: 320 kbps
I think going from mp3 to wav and back to mp3 might be the problem.

That's the suggested audio codec, no reason it shouldn't work ok regardless of how it's been converted before.
As a side note, though, I'd suggest just exporting straight out of AE as the h.264/AAC file you intend to use as the final format. Exportting then re-encoding in QT pro is a pointless extra step.
