not if your using a craked version of 2.0 or somethin hahahahahaha
but if you do not want to upgrade to mik5 there is a "workaround" for mik 4 if you have a mac...(Change file extensions from mp4 to m4a/ scan in mik/change file extensions back to mp4) all keys will be written and show up in the comments field within serato

or just key the mp3 version of the file that you also illegally downloaded and then fil it in manually.
But it would just be best if you paid for the software.

the ork around pre version 5 will save you time as it writes the key to the comment field

Its just as easy to have the key written to the commentes field then sort the tracks by comments, then batch rename the key tag to all of the same key.

Not any more, Code:E, MIK5 does the initial key tag too.
With versions of SL prior to 2.4 they just weren't read by SL.
In 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 they are now read.

I'm sticking with 2.3.3 (for obvious reasons) but I do all my importing and analysing in Itch 2.2 or SL 2.4.1 as it reads those key tags and they're still visible in 2.3.3.
A big time saver, especially as most of my new audio files are AAC or ALAC too.

so if you analyze and build your crates in 2.4 the key value will show up in the key column if you use 2.3.3 to play on?

Yeah, for some bizarre reason it does... Can't really understand why, but who cares, it works!
Code:E

Not that i dont believe you, but i would like to understand why this is....

You tried older thdan 2.3.3?? Maybe they just put a converter into 2.4 so its not using the new tag it converts it to seratos old key tag???

The key tag also shows up in 2.1.1. I haven't gone any older.
I'm guessing it saves it in the same way that old versions did when you add the key manually... When I build overviews in new versions it's saving it to the tag in SL.
Haven't tested it but I think if you were to open them in 2.4 and NOT build overviews it probably won't save the key tag.
