Rane 62......... Can not see

I got my Rane 62 and to let you know this is the ultimate mixer! But here is my problem
1. When I hit the "browse" tab "files" tab or any one of those tabs the screen does not opens the boxed area. Instead that area pinches. I tried to widen the area with mouse and nothing happens..
2. In the bridge ableton I/O only shows outs no ins. Basically it look like my 57 is connected

When you are using the bridge you only have outputs... It's supposed to look like your 57 is connected :P

What were you clicking on and then dragging to expand the window?

You should be able to expand that window by clicking on the 3 tine white dots in the border between the Files/Browse/Prepare window and the main library window and dragging the window down.
Do you see the little white dots I'm referring to?

Is it any different if you plug your 62 in?
What version number does it say your using?
(found in the lower left corner of the Setup screen)

If I'm in the second icon for waveform views (which makes them vertical) the three little white dots you are looking for are aligned with the small waveform overview of the second virtual deck.
I'm using version 24082, MAC and Sixty-Two

As far as the bridge issue I thought being that the 62 is a big sound card I thought I would see more ins and outs in ableton

As Xfade said... the Bridge, or rather the Serato driver that you need to use when using the Bridge, only has one stereo output. It does not have any inputs or multiple outputs.
Its a restriction of their driver.

In ableton there is only a generic serato out with no ins. There was a time on my TTM 57 in track in/out I would see the mixer there. Now it just an out

That sounds ok, simple....
I wonder if i can create an agregate device of the 62 and an NI Audio2DJ so that i can route my Ableton CUe Output to a second set of Headphones?
Cheers

@S4racen,
Not any different than any other Rane hardware.
Just open Ableton, open SSL, open the Ableton tab in SSL, and select what output you want Ableton to run out of on the mixer.
The Aux output is what would be recommended.

If your going to be using the Bridge you have to use Serato's driver.
You can't use two drivers/sound cards for your outputs:(

Mmmmm... I'm always trying to workround things, can i not use the normal soundcard for Ableton, split it one for cue the other for master, send the output into the aux using a cable and sync the two together using the midi clock output...
Happy using it as it is but this would give me what i'm looking for which is a two dj setup...

Good question. My people at Rane serato survey said. ...........

The only reason i'm thinking is that i cant actually scratch my ableton output, it's simply output syncing samples so the tight bridge integration isn't that spectacularly useful at the moment, a stable midi clock control could be everything i need....

But I will say this the bridge is 100 % better with this mixer for some reason or maybe I finally learned how to warp my trax. lol But the syncing is greAT!

@S4... You could run Ableton and SSL independently but the two apps won't be able to sync.
SSL can't receive a midi beat clock and, although the mixer can send/receive one, Ableton also can't be the slave due to Ableton needing the midi beat clock to send a start point.
Just to clarify.. when syncing Ableton with two computers one is the master and one is the slave. The master sends a start point to the slave when the master computer starts the transport which then starts the audio from the slave.
SSL can't send this start point to Ableton (slave) nor can the mixer (currently).
Its something we're working on but I'm not sure when or if this will be possible with how Ableton currently works.

Thats cool, thanks for clearing that up!!
I'm sure there's bigger things planned for the bridge but it's pretty good so far, and when you switch the mixtape feature on for the 62 i'll be very happy!
Cheers

You can't use two drivers/sound cards for your outputs:(
Wasn't it possible to use the internal soundcard while using the bridge?
I tink I read about people using the bridge and using the internal soundcard on the computer to route the sound to a line in on their mixer? Or am I mistaken?

Oh, I guess Zach means you can't use the Serato driver and another sound card at the same time... maybe? :P

You can use another sound card as your input device but not your output device.

Huh? Either I'm misunderstand or you got it wrong :P
I just tried this: I hook up my SL1, start Scratch Live and Ableton Live.
I enter the preferences from Ableton Live and change my Driver type to CoreAudio and then I enter Scratch Live, push Sync 1 and start a song.. Now I have the output from Ableton in my laptop speakers and it's synced to Scratch Live..
Is this not what you just said I can't do? =)

Hey Xfade.. Sorry.. you are correct. Just tried this and its working as you described.
So.. with that said.. apparently you can use any other sound card.
You would obviously then need to send the output(s) of the sound card into an open channel on your mixer.
