Maybe I'm just not using this correct, but I'm not able to use the FX i used to use inside my SL application, they just don't work.
Then also I noticed while mixing tonight on the left deck i pushed the joy stick upward to censor and it wouldn't censor. It would on the right deck, but not the left.
I took a screen shot, but they were all grayed out.
Thoughts?

hold it down and you'll see the led next to the joystick light up.. this means you're able to use it to censor, set cue's and other things that its programmed to do. if its not lit up it can be used as a transform function..

The left joystick is not enabled which is why it looks grayed out in the Hardware section.
Press down on the joystick (into the mixer) like it was a button.
This will enable the joystick.

Are the DJ FX working now from within the software? If not, what was the exact issue you encountered?
