I got it close to cost, been going to this guy for years when I buy anything from RCA cables to $2000 mixers... that said, rather not put him on jump street as he prob wouldn't appreciate it ha. All I really wanted to know from this thread is if anyone here pre-ordered from GC and received it? Right now, there is no ETA when I'll be getting it so I'm stuck doing shows with crates, vinyl and the old school Technics mixer, kind of missed it.

My hook up at GC told me weeks ago it would late Feb/first week of March.

mixer is dope but you have to use SSL 2.4. Found out after i pre-ordered 2.4 won't work with ME. No ME, no Rane 62 for me.

1600 seems to be about what I should offer the GC peeps? I have a guy who usually hooks me up but sometimes I have to tell him I know what I can get it for before he will sell it that low.

1600-1700 for the 62 is the going pre-order cost it seems. anything over 1800 and you're most def paying premium and/or to have it 1st.

I pre ordered 2 sixty twos hrough my boy at guitar center . I picked them up on Wednesday, 2 days ago. They came in as a special order with my name on them. You just gotta get your rep at guitar center to Push for you, your location I don't think matters.

GC in L.A. is saying mid march - that is a life time and it will take that long to just get the 62 tuned - which means April by the time you actually will be ready to use the 62

So picked one up at Greg's pro in Whittier - wooot!

What is going on at guitar center, i order my 62 and dont even have an exact day for delivery yet.. wasn't it suppose to be out at this time already??

I'm in the same boat bro'. I ordered mine over 2 weeks ago and all their computer says is "On Order." They told me it should be here any day now and that was 2 days ago. That said, there was a dude who ordered his 2 days before me and he picked his up on Tuesday of this week so I'm assuming mine will be in by mid-next week.

Clearly, these mixers are not stocked items (at least not at my guitar center) so us waiting this long had them special ordered, that's why it's taking so long.

I just hope you didn't have to pay full price for it..

Wow, I got mine from GC on 2/24 and I got a great deal on it, sucks that yours is not here yet but it will be well worth the wait once you get the mixer in your hands.

Actually, just got the call. Picking it up on the way home. Patience was chewing at me but I saved just about $350 bucks... which I'll be putting into some Ortofon S120's

Ha, I'm back. Haven't even messed with the thing other than scratching for about 2hrs to break in the faders. To be honest I preferred the clean look of the 57 over this. Wayy too many blinking and colored lights, knobs and things that do crazy things. Was kinda getting used to my old Tech mixer.

You'll get used to it, what do you think of the sound quality?

It's actually really clean. I'm never one on noticing sound quality but it's great. So how the hell do I remap the buttons with a PC? I can't figure it out. I also don't like the BACK button when scrolling crates/library. I liked how it was on the 57 much better, is there a way to make it like that with the left and right scrolls?

Y'all can have mine if you want. $1100 shipped + your 57SL. Joking aside, I'm serious. This fkn mixer has 8 thousand knobs and buttons and I can't re-assign anything to what I need it to do. So I'm stuck with a xmas tree on my mixer basically, I feel handcuffed into being told what I can & cannot do with this thing.

Enough people are complaining. I'm sure this will get fixed in, hopefully, the near future.

Thanks Zach, not trying to piss y'all off... it's just extremely frustrating my man. I mean 2G's dude... I feel like I'm using foreign equipment at a gig or someone else's gear. I open the thing up out of the box, scratch with vinyl and i'm like ok this feels like a 56 or whatever... cool. Then I go to customize those buttons and nothing is happening. I just feel robbed. This is probably an awesome mixer for someone just starting out, who doesn't care what does what but a dude like me who used to buy mixer for like 300 bucks, we kind of expect Rane and Serato to step their game up. I saw this at first and was like dope, I can remap all these buttons and stuff to do everything i need... come to find out, I can't do sh*t!

^^^Definitely, I just sold my 57 for $1,000 on Monday ,didn't even blink an eye cause the 62 is so nice!

Que, I'm not complaining on the mixer or it's 'capabilities'. My only gripe is that for the price... out of the box, this simple little addition would have stopped a lot of headache. As a consumer (don't mean to be harsh), but it's not my responsibility to really care/nor should I about people "catching breaks". All I want is my money to be well spent. I can't speak for anyone else here, just myself. I think in a year this will be worth it's price in full, right now (for me) I'd still want to use the 57. Just my 2 cents.

In my opinion, the money for the mixer is well spent. It's the only mixer of it's kind (faders, dual usb, etc). The buttons will likely be assignable later on, and honestly it controls the software properly.

It's a cutting edge piece of tech and the manufacturer has historically been open to providing improvements from user feedback. I think the market should demand the most for their dollar and perhaps the nitpicking isn't necessary.

You guys are funny. If the mixer works great for u, then well great for u I guess. This mixer is prob awesome for some new DJ as well who isn't used to a specific setup. I'll nitpick all day for a 2 thousand dollar mixer. I'm not really asking for anything crazy, just to assign the buttons "my way." I've been djn since 92 and frankly, paying this much for a mixer alone is beyond bananas in my eyes. However, I do respect the change and innovations. I'm not bashing the thing, this is my 4th tame product. Just a little dissapointed. Like buying a new Audi and it don't have an ipod adapter in it.
