Maybe this question has been answered already in other posts but i haven't seen anything like it yet.

Macbook Pro 4gb ram, 2.2ghz, leopard OS
western digital 1tb external
using 1.8 RC1 with ttm57sl

When using the ttm, if you play around with a few of the buttons, you'll get to a screen in the hardware section where you can input a serial number for the video option. It also says underneath that if you don't have the serial number yet, you can demo it. Anywayz, i click demo, nothing happens. Is there anyone that happened to get this working, if so, let me know, thanks a lot.

again, sorry if this was already spoken about or answered, don't crucify me!

That's funny.

I called Rane Serato support and they said the video-plug in is beta phase. The people who were selected were those that showed interest and post a lot on this forum.

Man I hope this is out by new years eve. That whould rock.

Nick, how'd you get that plugin tab to appear? I've tried playing around with my '57 and couldn't get anything to appear... if you quit SSL does that tab still appear or can you get it appear back with a certain sequence?

that would be so funny if the ssl developers actually made an easter egg using up-up-down-down-whatever...

maybe use one joystick, up-up-down-down-left-right-p1-p2....

and just incase you have no idea how to use myspace, you can find "pics" directly under my picture (which i made the screen of video serato) look at the serato forum folder i created,

so did anyone get this to work besides me?

sure can, when i get home from work today, ill make a min or two long video...all i was doing was using the J1 button and pushing it to the left

1. i didnt have my external hooked up (you did ask me to prove it at 4am) and 2. im using denon 5000's just outside of the video's view sorry

actually on the video you guys saw was a macbook 2.0ghz, 2 gram, leopard with 1.8 pb2

it seems like this has happened to other users cause i got a message from "james" the moderator that told me he was able to reproduce the same thing and "they" will be fixing that bug in the next version.
i was told you can only access that screen if you have purchased the serato video plugin....which i obviously havent yet..

still workin on the total and complete video

So what about the function which is assigned to left for joystick 1? What is is labelled like? Or are you using the normal/default layout/mappping?

Well... I just tested on my PC, with 1.8RC2+TTM57. Nothing happens with "left, left" tested all (close to all) ways, also with a seondary monitor and extended desktop.

Parhaps only works in Mac for now..?

Doesnt work on my mac....tried it with PB2 and RC1.....nothin, and im running leopard....As much as I believe you, i believe you have a special copy

all jokes aside, no special version. Does everyone that has the TTM, download the TTM 57SL Record Utility Download version 1.1, located on the rane.com website. i dont know if that meakes a difference or not but just saying. ALSO, just realized that it does not work if you have the RC-1 version on your computer even if you're not using it. The version i'm using is 1.8 pb2. anywayz, well long story short, i'm done with this "discussion" because obviously it is a bug, and i can't get it to work with video anyway, so theres not much more to say about it. when the real video version comes out we will see what happens.

Since u just got ur 57 i think it already come with and update-firmware that built in and when u downloaded the beta it recognize it...for people that already have 57 more than 9 months is not gonna work i already try with 8 other and it didnt work...so we just gotta wait till Jan 11 for the release date
