ttm 57sl noise from laptop audio out??

I just got my ttm 57sl a few days ago and have been getting to know the features.I did find one problem with it though. When I plug my audio output from my laptop into the aux input on the 57sl,to use Reason Simultaneously with Scratch,I get a humming sound? If I unplug the usb cord to the back of the mixer for serato it goes away.On my ttm56 I plug my laptop into the aux in and use the outboard serato box and it works fine?Has anyone tried to plug their laptop audio into the mixer while using serato simultaneously? It sounds like a power interference?

Same problem over here. Only thing that helped was to lift the ground on the laptop (even when this is not recommened due to safety reasons).

How did you lift the ground on your laptop?

Better than lifting the ground on your laptop, try getting one of these => www.maplin.co.uk and connect it between the laptop soundcard and the mixer.

Does this also happen when you remove the AC Power from the laptop and run it on Batteries?

Yes it happens whether the AC power is plugged in or not.I'm going to try a filter and see if that works?Do macs have this same problem??

hahaha. that is actually a solution.

Macs have never had this problem.
I've owned 5 Mac Laptops and 4 PC Laptops.
On the ground noise front, Mac is in the lead 5 - Nil

No idea why as the PC Laptops were everything from HP, Dell, Acer, and Compaq.
Maybe they're just going cheap on the power supply as replacement PSUs are often half the price for PCs than Macs.

I don't think this is it, I think it's more likely to be the quality of the soundcard. I would imagine most power supplies are made by the same few companies.
