Which mac to get 13" or 15"

Johnnynights 5:50 AM - 9 February, 2012
Im a pc guy and going to buy a macbook pro for the first time but i dont know if i should go with the 13" or 15" i only play music no videos

13" is like 1300 and 15" is like 1700

Is it really worth the the extra money?

That;s all personal preference if you ask me. I got the 15" because i like the larger screen. The 13" is probably going to be a bit lighter/more portable.

with serato 13 is fine, if you use traktor at all go with the 15.

I use the 15" myself, buddy of mine use the 13". I use the cover-art list view, he doesn't.
If you plan to use The Bridge, I'd go with 15" high res version. It will be my next laptop when I upgrade.

I recently (4/5 months ago) switched from a 15" Windows laptop to a 13" MBP...

...and have never looked back. You'll be fine.

I was on 15" & 13" Windows laptops before switching to a Mac. I didn't know which size to get too and we had no store with Macs at all in this town.
I decided to go with a 13" MBP and I love the size of it. But I always find me asking myself if the 15" would've been better. The best would be a high-res version of the 13" but Apple seems to be too stupid to offer one.
The 13" MacBook Pro is 1280x800 while the 13" MacBook Air is 1440x900... that's just wrong!

From what I've learned its gonna come down to weather or not you spin videos. Sure the 13" will get it done but the 15" will let you push the boundaries.

Good point to make. I only spin tunes, no video, so 13" is fine for my needs.

This.
And they call it the "pro" LOL. Apple is getting less pro by the minute, seems they're all about consumers and "prosumers" these days.
