Hi,

I want to stream live into my Mac coming from my mixer. I have a cord running into my Mac through the headphone jack. I can stream but It's picking up my Mic as well. I tried the mute the Mic but when I do that, no sound comes through. Is there another way for me to do this?

firstly what mac do you have? some 13" only support headphone (line-out). the 15" and the 17" has line-in and headphone(line-out).

if your mac does have line-in, and you have an audio source plugged into it you just need to set the source in the app you are using to stream.

for example, in quicktime i would set the source to Built-in Input: Line In. when using this source, only the line in is being monitored/recorded.

Actually the single jack socket on the 13" can be either line in or line out, you just need to go into System Preferences>Sound and change it there.

Once you've done that you have to set it in the app too, like DJ Nyce said.

I have the 13 inch. I tried that line in/out thing. it works with the out but still picks up the Mic. Ok, set it in the app....you mean Ustream?
