Turntable coffin; 10" or 14" mixer space?

Turntable coffin; 10" or 14" mixer space?

So I'm getting a coffin for my TT's and mixer. I want a coffin with the tables in battle setup and in my country that leaves me with 2 options:
-a coffin with 10" mixer space, no built in laptop stand and 6 weeks delivery.
-a coffin with a 14" mixer space, with built in sliding latop stand, readily available.

Now, I currently use an SSL box with a Mackie D.2 mixer, which is 10". No plans really on replacing the mixer.
I like everything about the 2nd option except for the 14" space (TT's would be further apart and mixer not secured in the case because of that).

Any thoughts that might help me make up my mind? Should I not worry about the 14" mixer space?

guess i'll go with the second option, don't want to wait 6 weeks, hope i won't regret not going with the 10". anyone want to put in their 2 cts before i place my order? Would be appreciated.

If you dont plan on getting a 14" mixer, then dont even consider it.

Why exactly, because of the extra space? would it make transport difficult?

I don't know what country you're in or your personal situation at home but if you have access to resources like general woodworking tools and a LITTLE BIT of metal working tools then I STRONGLY suggest building your own. I did and I am SOOOOOO happy.

If your case if from Odyssey, for example, it will come with a bunch of foam padding so you can snug up the mixer. There will be a bigger span between the turntables but that shouldn't be too big of a deal. You wil also like the built in laptop slider.

i have a battle style coffin with 10 inch mixer thats less that 1 year old and for sale...

The one with the 14" mixer slot and the laptop slider I don't know the brand, it's from an online shop brand not specified (I could ask if extra padding is included).

@bicedidit: I'm in The Netherlands, so a bit out of the way I guess..
