Newer stable SSL builds?

Hey all,
I'm finally getting around to buying a new laptop for SSL. I've been using 1.9.2 but I'm going to pick up a copy of Ableton in the coming months so I can get working on that and The Bridge.
I'm looking for information about the newer (2.0+) builds of SSL that are the most stable. I'd like to be able to use my existing laptop as a backup, but as I understand it AAC files that have been edited in the newest build of SSL won't be readable in older builds, so that might be a bit of a concern.
Anyway, input on the matter is appreciated. Anecdotal evidence is fine, but I'd prefer it if this thread didn't turn into a flame war.
Thanks!

I like the idea of moving to 2.3.3 but it would kind of suck to not be able to use my old laptop as a back up with those cue points, loops, etc. :( fwiw my current laptop is an old as dirt Dell Inspiron that I run at a buffer of 2. Clean WindowsXP install ftw!

2.3.3 using a ttm57 and mix emergency, not sure if the issue your having has anything to do with the sl4. I also see you're running 10.5.8, you try updating to 10.6.8 or lion?
