Serato Video General Discussion

Talk about Serato Video and Video-SL.

Did we ever figure what USB/FW works the best in Low Light (club use)

soooo many options out there.

I went back in read the older threads, but there was never a definitive winner.

Low Light
Prefer FW 800 or faster (Usb2.0 is choppy)

people mentioned security cams, but most security cams were in the 2k+
and very few ran fw800+

Too bad there is not an edit option for the forum. I had no idea what you were talking about in the title. For some reason I was thinking HDs and their LEDs on the case.

I am assuming you don't want IR. What kind of resolution are you looking for?

nothing crazy... just Picture in Picture kinda stuff on the video output.

Curious as well!

I use an semi-old JVC grdv500e it has Fw800 and works well but kinda lacking in very low lights. I'm looking for something with better res and a bit smaller and lighter if possible but I have yet to find it. Tracking this discussion.

It's crazy with all of the advances in camera tech, especially the fact you can get usable low light pics out of a sub $1000 camera phone (iPhone, et al) that these stand alone ones are still crappy unless you break the bank.
