i recently bought a rane 57 off of ebay. After it came to me and i opened the box the 2 knobs were broken off. i taped the aux in cause it was falling off and the pgm switch was broken clean off. Rane customer service said it would cost 400+ to fix the switch does anyone know where i can buy the part or a cheaper solution ??!?

both of mine broke off too. the question is why would they use metal for every other pot, but not for the two that are located on the outside of the mixer where they bump more shit than anything else.
basicly what i did was i bored out the inside of the knob, and i screwed a screw into the plastic potentiometer and put the knob back on top. good luck man

The $425 is a highest estimated cost.
If your just suffering from two broken pots the repair cost would be substantially less.
I'd guess under $100.

@ djcruise , i recently had my 57 repaired for the same reason. i had 1 broken selector knob an 2 loose knobs that needed tightening. its a fairly simple repair so i figured around $100 like Zach S stated but i was charged $202. So apparently I got the supa dupa delux repair on things i didnt no of or request be repaired. Lesson learned, be very specific with Rane as for what may be repaired. But in all fairness i have not gotten my 57 back yet so i really dont no if the "supa dupa delux repair" was worth it or if i got jacked for $100. we shall see....lol

they repaired it within 1 day of receiving it so their service is excellent. they fixed mine Monday and it will be back to me Friday. they return ship the same as you send it so that's up to you. yes be very specific,. unless you want a complete overhaul.

When a repair is sent in here we will fix anything and everything we find wrong with it.
You may send it in thinking all you needed was a new eq pot but we could find that the cue slider is about to come off the board and needs to be replaced, or there were other pots that were loose and needed replacement.
We do not simply fix what the user wants us to fix and leave everything else alone.
This is to safe guard ourselves from the user saying "I just sent in my mixer to get fixed and now "x" is wrong with it. You guys need to pay for the shipping both ways and pay for the repair. I shouldn't have to pay for this."
Know that when you send your unit in it will leave here under factory specifications.
There is also a three month warranty on all repairs.
As for getting the unit back to you in 4 days.. it might be possible if you sent it to us Next Day Air but I can't guarantee it.
We are the fastest in the business and will try our best though:)
