Im a beginner DJ and I'm looking to upgrade my controller. Right now i am using the idj3 with virtual dj. I am looking at getting either the ns6 or ns7. my friend has the ns7 and i love it but i don't know if the ns6 is better for a beginner like me. I like the motorized platters on the ns7 but they don't have four deck channels or split cue like the ns6. What would you choose for a beginner?

I've owned the ns7 in the past and loved it BUT it's very heavy. What I like the most about it was the moving platter. I would recommend you go with the ns6. I've only heard good reviews about it.
good luck.

as a BEGINNER? the ns6. unless you want base knowledge of vinyl what's the point of an ns7? even that is not really vinyl.
you don't have all the hangups that many vinyl djs have so there is no need for spinning platters. also, in your future as a dj less and less equipment will spin.
the standard for midi is regular jog wheel. go with the standard as beginner.
ns6 all the way.
brw, what does this have to do with video?

I'd suggest, crrazyness, that you head to the Itch part of the forum where the timeless battle of NS6 vs NS7 is discussed on a pretty much daily basis.
You'll get a lot more feedback over there if you have a read.

I think so, but im pretty sure that the ns6 has efx controls built in.
I seen a youtube video the other day shows a guy who had a twitch and pioneer itch controller hooked up at the same time so he could get the features from both units.
