macbook, ttm 57sl and jbl eon 515

i purchased it all about a year ago. they both work great but the problem im having is the jbl is almost always clipping(red)especially in deep bass. i was shown that i need to set the ttm master vol on 3 o'clock, the gains til the yellow start blinking, the laptop volume to max, and jbl to 3 o'clock as well and control the volume with the sliders. the master on serato im not sure what to do with that.
what is the correct way for me to get this done correctly. i def dont want to blow out my eons.
thanks

Sounds like you just need to turn down your JBL.

You want to run the signal as hot as possible without clipping coming out of the software, from there, run the signal as hot as possible into the inputs of the 57 (using the gain knobs to turn up or down the volume so the signal is just under clipping), from there, turn up the master gain to 2 o'clock (unity gain on all Rane mixers), and then turn up your JBL to the desired volume but without seeing the red clip light coming on.
