Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

My three features..

Ok, recently bought Scratchlive/Rane SL2 and I'd like to see the following features added, and my reasons why:

1. Ability to analyse files without having to disconnect the SL2 - because it's a pain

2. Final BPM accurate to 0.1 BPM - so i can accurately set my Korg KP3

3. Star rating linked to iTunes - so I can rate tunes on the train (on my way to work) and they appear in Scratchlive.

4. Pitch adjustment in off-line mode -

Sorry if they've been suggested before.. What do you think?

Its a pain unplugging USB cable that is few inches away from you? Interesting.

Yup. I use an iMac beside my decks and my SL2 is neatly tucked away out of sight..

Tracks will analyse on load if you have 'autofill overviews' set anyway.
Seems like the main reason for this is so that SSL seems to take over the processors to analyse. Not ideal if you're potentially playing live, even though dropouts or similar caused from that would be user caused. People would complain about it.

Accurate BPM just doesn't seem like it'd happen. Software can only be good to a certain point. Even the best BPM detection I've seen still isn't 100% accurate.

Why pitch adjustment in offline player?

Yeah true. I was hoping the BPM counter on SSL would be better than the Korg one and i could just dial it in on my KP3. Even when i try to tap it in, it can vary by 0.5 BPM which can throw the effect/sample out quite quickly.

Well, i quite often download whole albums, and i like to go through the tracks to seperate the good ones from the rubbish ones. Sometimes a fast tech house tune will work well in a minimal set if it's slowed down a bit. So i think it would be nice to review my tunes while chilling out in a chair rather than standing by my decks - maybe I am just lazy.

Scratchlive is currently accurate to the .01 BPM. When you're in your library, double click on a tracks BPM and it should say 128.67 (for example) and then it will round back to 128 once you select something else. I don't know of a way to get it to display this all the time though...
