Help with MpegStreamclip!

Hi
I have been using MpegStreamclip happily to convert vob and other formats to mp4 using the suggested settings from this forum and it works great!
However I recently upgraded my Macbook to a Macbook Pro with Lion and transferred all my applications / files etc across from a Timemachine backup.
I'm not sure if its related to this but now MpegStreamclip won't re-encode the videos with any audio. It still creates an mp4 file with video, but there is no audio at all. I've tried deleting the App then re-installing the new version but nothing works.
Any ideas?

Going from the root level of your boot drive: System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeMPEG2.component.

Copy the file from your old computer and put it into the same location on the new one.

You need to have the newest beta of MPEG Streamclip for it to work with Lion, and also follow the specific instructions that are on the website under the heading "Lion and MPEG-2 Playback Component".

yeah, i read that many times. mpegstreamclip WILL work with Lion after you follow those instructions, BUT if you try exporting a .VOB (or other file types) using the "Export to other Format" method, then selecting "MP4" as the format, the exported mp4 file will not have audio on it. thats the problem we're all having.

the mp4 will convert fine with audio, but when you check out the average keyframe, its all jacked up. it'll play fine on quicktime and stuff, but it's definitely not to specs of vsl or ME

what if you export to mp4 without going to "other" first?the mp4 will convert fine with audio, but when you check out the average keyframe, its all jacked up. it'll play fine on quicktime and stuff, but it's definitely not to specs of vsl or ME
