I took advantage of the 50% sale and just wanted to know what connection or connector do I need to get playback on a tv or another computer screen. This is strictly for practicing at home. I have seen video sl set up videos on youtube. The dj mentioned a mini DVI video connector. What is a good brand and which is used mostly. I've also seen/read about a VGA one can anyone inform me on the difference between the 2? Sorry if this has been asked before, I just want a clear answer before I buy anything else. Thanks.

It all depends on the video output on your computer and where you plan on transmitting your video (i.e. TV or projector)
It could be an analog or digital
VGA
DVI
HDMI
or newer Mac could be an Mini Display Port
Post some specs and someone can help.
Not I cause I'm off to sleep.
If you're in Canyon Country, California then you are really close to me cause I'm in the SF Valley. You'll find everything you need at Fry's Electronics in Burbank.

I bought my Mac Book Pro 13" in the spring of 2010.
Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
what other specs did you need?

You probably need a Mini Display Adapter to HDMI if you plan on hooking up to your HD TV.

Your machine has a mini-displayport so you need an Apple mini-displayport to VGA adapter.
That will let you hook into a monitor or TV with a VGA port.
Or the mini-displayport to DVI adapter will let you connect to a monitor or TV with a DVI port.
If you need to hook into a composite connection (the yellow phono) you'll need a scan converter, do a search on here for those.
HOWEVER your MBP doesn't meet the minimum requirements in terms of graphics card.
It MIGHT work, but you should definitely download the demo and test it thoroughly before buying the plug-in.

I was reading on the forums someone using the same MBP as mine and saying it was able to run smoothly.
I already purchased the plug in, but I can always deactivate from the MBP and activate it to another MBP (just in case it doesn't work on mine) with the required graphics card?
