Anyone happens to know an european video pool with some old euro dance videos 90's perhaps 80's . Sadly all the video pools i'm finding are US oriented meaning that the videos are mostly from american artist and the european scene is pretty much neglected. Thanx in advance .

This pool looks promising. What format are the files in? Can't find any info on their website.

Yeah I've switched over to it from physical releases. The only thing that sometimes annoys me is the AIR client they use will get stuck and you have to pause, then restart the download to kick it back in.

Just called promo only, and they want $1400+ for their entire 80s and 90s music video collections. Wow! Is it worth it???

Not if they have those ugly ass watermarks that pop up and the fact that you'll have to IVTC or deinterlace every video and put them in the proper resolution. All WS vids (not many from the 80s) will be letterboxed 4:3
I'd spend about $300 on those dvds

yea, if you have to rip them from dvd, even if you don't do it proper, it's hardly worth it.
i have just about every best of po dvd and i wouldn't spend even $300 on them.
i don't even know why i keep them, such a pain in the ass.

Promo Only
and how many tracks?
They come on data discs in mp4 format, 320 audio. There are 35 total discs for the 80s and 90s with an average of around 45 tracks per disc.
They have an entire track listing on their website. It does look impressive.

It would be cheaper, require less time and you would get better quality videos by joining xtendamix. They are also very open to requests and have access to some really hard to find stuff.

I also think the PO mp4's are the same 29.9fps letterboxed vobs taken down to mp4. I highly doubt they'll put in the work to bring them back to original frame rate and proper resolutions.
You'll probably end up with tons of 720x480 29.9fps mp4's which look horrible on screen and reminds me of 3 years ago.
Any dj who cares about video doesn't play out with stuff like that.

The PO mp4s look decent. I haven't had any IVTC issues with them from the POOL they have now. I will say the letterboxing/aspect issues they sometimes have aren't a problem with most fullscreen 80's videos.

Yeah any full screen videos are fine, which most 80s and 90s vids were probably shot in 4:3
I haven't seen one po mp4s personally so all my comments above are assumptions.

So you're saying the videos are (sometimes) IVTC'ed to 23.976fps?
Not just all simply deinterlaced and at 29.97?

That'd be very useful...
Though just dropping a lot of the PO MP4 files into Movie Batch Info and copy/pasting the results into a forum post would also be real helpful.
