Is this site really worth using?

What do you think about this site? A lot of crazy restrictions. I wonder why not just use high bit rate mp3's.

I use this site very rarely I mean maybe once or twice a year I will find "New" Music. But most of the time I am waiting weeks upon weeks to get something even worth playing LIVE. Im looking for the next Kid Cudi, the next Kanye west, The next BIG unknown artist! NOT on here ! This is what the record labels think is hot!! And let be honest the puppet artists to these labels make BAD MUSIC ! But i guess when you run the entire world and have endless money you can pick and choose whats hot and spend millions on marketing an forced airtime on radio stations !!!! NEWS TO THE LABELS FIRE ALL YOUR TALENT SCOUTS !!! This site combined has not produced more than a handful of hits in a year ! lIKE 5-8 tracks a year are worth using ! But it is what it is ! If you want good music you need to find it yourself and dont think the music industry is going to do anything like help a DJ !

I've been using serato for a good few years and this is the second or third time I've ever logged in. I only came on to quickly see what's new and nothing seems to have changed. Its rubbish and I agree entirely with KidNextDoor.

I use many other ways to get music, but I do like to use this site also. I spin mostly House and since thats the genre I'm searching for the most, I don't look for Top-40 remixes that commonly. Sometimes I'm playing in front of a crowd which I may have to play some Top-40 remix stuff and I'm thankful that I can grab that stuff on here instead of spending a good deal of time looking for that sub-genre that I do not normally play.

I tend to stack my white labels and just replace them with highquality mp3s

I use this site fairly often to check out what the releases are. I agree with Kidnextdoor in saying that it is hard to find something you will play live. Being a mobile DJ, most people don't want remixes or house like they have on here for weddings (Grandma isn't into DJ LBR), but when I do a club event I'll play the club music they have on here. Most of my events are private though, so I don't use it often.
