Hye, i d like to suggest an idea about serato :
the newest version is fortunatly using this point but i think it could be great to set up 2 possibilities of playing song without the SSl connected!
I d like to mixe music event if the USB is off because i don t have turn table at home and it could be nice to prepare and listen some future mixes before playing in a party ;))

And it is great, so you dont have to buy the Scratch LIVE interface.
Dont think this will happen in the near future.

wait...no turntables at home????? Here's a suggestion: Let the DJ's who really care about DJ'ing spin at the parties...you're not a DJ.

i thin that you re stupid and don t understand anything!
i m a dj since 1992 so i don t have lessons to received from anyone! I play everyweek all over europe but my suggestion is just to check mixe at home when you don t have turn table.
before speaking..think next time and don t be too proud: you re just DJ!

if you play every week all over europe every week is understandable that you don't have tts or something at home
o_O
just remember that when you do a suggestion you must be prepared to listen to clashing ideas...
... and some ideas might be obvious things that you misconcepted when you hit 'post'
so, to be very honest, you should do what you proposing others to do: think!

I don't quite get this attitude: I DJ six nights a week and have done for about 15 years, so I think I get quite enough time at the turntables at work, and while I do have 1210s at home they're usually in their cases.
It's been a bit of a drag a few times at home not being able to listen to tracks in Serato without hooking it up to a mixer; 1.8 beta solves that to some extent, but another solution (for way in the future) might be to stick a headphone socket on the SL1 (SL2? hee hee) or something.
This'd do what Syrion wants without opening up the possibility of people getting out of buying the product. And in any case that still wouldn't allow for CD/Vinyl control, so it's not like full functionality in internal mode without the SL1 would mean people wouldn't pay for SSL!)

I think it's ironic...the point of the original suggestion is so a DJ can practice mixing at home without having to hook up serato to turntables...but if you're going to practice at home like any other Dj's does...you have turntables and you don't need to make this suggestion.

I hgave a serato and i agree that you have to pay to get it but my suggestion is just ton include a way of mixing without connecting the USB!
And if you think that to be a dj you must have Tunr table at home so it means that you haven t understand what is a DJ!
You thin that every worker in the world have his material with him at home???
think before speaking men!
My suggestion is just to allow Dj like me to prepare and check out for new mixes before a party: nothing bad!
The new version is nice because you can allready listen 1 track but i m sure that if we could play both together it could be better again. I don t ask for a BPM automatique! just a possibility of mixing without SSL connected!

I was being mean before...but now I'll be serious: Use serato to DJ...and download a free DJ software program that allows you to mix completely from the laptop to practice mixes before the gigs. Problems solved!

yes. download a program for free. mix using your own soundcard. brilliant. and what would inspire dj's like syrion to actually purchase this? nothing. since it would cost nothing. how would serato make their money? dj's like syrion wouldn't care. then the serato team wouldn't care about updating for free either. then scratchlive would turn to sh*t and we'd all have to BUY torq....then complain why we can't use torq without their dongle.
