Yes, tell the truth more - being different will set you apart.

I actually haven't done this, but when I was out looking for regular jobs I'd just google image search. For example, for a sales job I'd search "sales resume". I did one for "dj resume" and some stuff came up. I can't tell you if they are good or not though, you'd have to look at them and decide yourself.

I personally would suggest this, make a virtual press kit first. Then make a resume. Why? Because press kits are flashier looking and will get you gigs simply from how they look. It's like the difference between handing someone a book or the movie of the book. If you want all the details, etc you read the book. If you want the flashier thing that you can finish in a couple hours you watch the movie. Most people would prefer seeing the movie over reading the books so try to appeal to the bigger market.

Everyone nowadays has a shorter attention span, so having pictures/videos to advertise yourself to clients will definitely appeal and make you stand out more than a typical resume. Also press kits are not hard to make if you have a creative bone in your body. Simply use Powerpoint to start out.

Also do what Yoshi said, having a One Sheet is pretty cool considering you can post all of your sites on 1 page rather than listing 5 pages all the time

WELL next question is there any websites that do this?
DJ Garebear 5:48 PM - 23 December, 2011
Honestly I'm the kind of person that would suggest making it yourself.
1.) saves you money
2.) it's not that hard
3.) you can update it and edit it whenever you want (rather than paying to update it)

If you don't have the programs to make it though try using "Google Docs" (pretty impressive for an online word processor) or install the free "Open Office"

If your looking for someone to do it for you i have no idea where to direct you man. You can most likely find someone by googling it (not sure if they are good with prices though). One Sheet though is pretty self explanatory and you should be able to make that on your own, you simply need to link your websites and have an image for the page

I must say, that is one of the cleanest press sheets I have seen in a while (and I do freelance work in the video game industry as a journalist).

I got bored one day and made a PDF resume kind of thing. I left some info out to keep it down to one page, and I made it to match the styling of my site...

check it out here thatsthebreak.com

He does a ton of music and entertainment industry designs... NaS, Fabolous, 50, Drake... and a few DJ's... anyone that emails him just tell him that we're peoples.. he's pretty dope... he can set yourtemplates so you can change color schemes and layouts as easy and drag and drop.
it took him 2 weeks to get my site live after I got him the initial copy and media

Besides a business card and mix cd, is there anything else that should be accompanied with the one sheet? Do you guys recommend putting all items in a nice folder?

Also, do you print your one sheet on photo paper?

Thanks
