Talk about Serato Video and Video-SL.

OSX 10.7.2 + Video-SL = ?

I was just about to bite the bullet and buy VSL for $99 until I realized it wasn't Lion supported.

Is this still the case or is anyone successfully running Lion with Video-SL?

Having said that, does Lion support Mix Emergency?

Worst case you might need to request to join the 2.3.x betas, but I am running 10.7.2 with VSL 1.2 and ME 1.7.2 with no major issues after stress testing the past 2 weeks.

2.3.3 is now released. But yes video-sl is not supported as there are crashing issues.

looks like ME supports lion.

if you can buy both i would.

$99 even without lion support, right now, is a steal. there's no doubt later it will be lion supported and probably $199 again.
i'd plan for the future.

i guess there's really only one way to find out the stability of VSL and Lion. i'll run the demo for a few days i guess to test.

is the VSL plug-in necessary to run ME? or can ME run without it?

Since 2.3.3 of SL...

"Removed video file filtering. This means Scratch Live can now play audio from video files without having to have Video-SL installed."...

...I would guess that means you no longer need VSL installed to use ME.

But even before, you just needed the "demo" version of VSL to allow SL to read the video files and therefore use ME.

I personally like having both because options are good.
