I'd like to be able to do something like:
- apply this crate's column layout to this group of crates
- apply this crate's column layout to *all* crates
I'd also like to be able to "re-find" music files that have gone awol, especially when it's a batch operation (ie: I've moved the music folder all the files were in)

Check 1.8.

I agree. In the meantime you might want to try ScratchTools which can apply one layout to all crates.

Hey Nik, it's me, Chris ;-)
Where can I check out 1.8?
Will certainly use ScratchTools in the meantime, but I'd ideally like something GUI driven...

A task like this is better done with a script - so a GUI would mean more work.
1.8 check the sticky posts in the DJ Discussion area.

Implementing a GUI would certainly be more work, but I'd imagine 95% of Serato's users would find it easier to use ;-)
I'm certainly looking forward to trying 1.8, but I'm not in a position to test beta software right now so will have to wait until it gets an official release :-S
