Effects - BPM doesn't set itself manually?

I don't use effects much, but I could have swore it was updated so that you didn't have to tap the bpm in everytime. I am using 1.8 beta and the bpm isn't setting automatically for the effect. I'm probably doing something wrong...any ideas guys?

Thanks nik39...I got it set up good now. I was mistakingly thinking it would do it automatically, but now it makes sense to me that it doesn't because it wouldn't know which deck to pull the bpm from.
