TTM 57 SL red signals

Hi,

I have a rane ttm 57sl mixer and when I use them with CD players i get the full red signal bar. im talking about normal playing not scratching etc. The track plays perfectly and there are no sound drop outs but im sure there is a problem.

I have swapped RCA cables, mixer, and cd players but I get the same issue.

Please advise

You probably have the "PHONO/LINE" switches in the wrong ("PHONO") position for whatever inputs the CD players are connected to.

I'm referring to the group of four dipswitches on the back of the mixer.

Yes.. sounds like the phono/line switches are not set correctly:)

Just to be totally clear...you tried setting the dipswitches to "LINE"? (Your post makes it sound like you may have just changed cables or something).

Is "Master Tempo" turned off on the CD players? Having that on will definitely mess up the signal.

Hi,

Its was in line initially when u change the switch the track stops playing.

Master tempo is off.

Are there any problems heard when playing regular audio CD's through the mixer?

Have you checked the scopes and settings in the ScratchLive "Setup" screen? Maybe the calibration adjustments somehow got mis-adjusted...that *could* explain what you're reporting. Normally with control CD's all of the onscreen calibration knobs should be set centered ("12:00").
