BYE BYE 57

alexexpress 3:53 AM - 21 October, 2007
Bye bye 57, i'll never use it. Tonight crashed, maybe for an another elctrical issue.
I'll bring it to the italian assistance, then they'll ship it to Mukilteo.
You can see my problems with this mixer in oldest alexexpress' posts.
I don't need answers, i'm going to buy a ssl box. Bye 57.

I get my TTM-57SL tommorow or the day after. It's somewhere between the states and the Netherlands right now. I hope I will have a better experience with then u've had. I hope for you're sake it will be serviced well and u get it back fixed good. Good luck!

Thanks Soul, enjoy your 57, it's a great mixer but is not great when during an important gig the output stops playing..maybe i'm not lucky.

I live in Germany, besides some dodgy buttons everything is cool and the Rane customer service (the german and the american) simply rocks.

Ohhhh yeah!! I can't wait!! I'm getting totally paranoid here. Thinking I hear the doorbell ring every second, hoping it's UPS:-)
alexexpress 2:43 AM - 23 October, 2007
Dear Soulved, there are 2 UPS: one is the shipping company that bring you the 57. The other i an Uniterruptible Power Supply that maybe you need when using your 57...

redundancy at its best...what's your point?
alexexpress 12:25 PM - 23 October, 2007
Dear djmoneyd, maybe only in Italy, 57 needs costant voltage. You can have it using an Uniterruptible Power Supply.
Mine 57 got crazy when the air conditioning system was switched on. So voltage gone down enough to kill the 57.
I hope u understand, sorry for my english.
DJ Smooth B. 12:33 PM - 23 October, 2007
Yeah but you are the only one with this problem, so i would say maybe it's the air-condition?!?!
My 57 runs in every club without probs

i realize that...i was just simply saying that pointing out the differences between the United Parcel Service and an Uninterruptable Power Supply is one of those statements that just makes you want to say "duh...." afterwards.

And this is a problem with the 57??? You admit that the voltage drops when the AC kicks in...isn't that a problem with your electrical? Won't you have similar problems with any other mixer you use? Doesn't make sense to me.

absolut and it's normal that a comlete digital mixer has more problems with that than a analog one

My 57 DOESN'T have ANY problems. NONE. EVER! Since the day I bought it (8 months ago) Thanks for making the best mixer on the planet RANE.
G-man NYC 6:17 PM - 26 October, 2007
My personal 57 works flawlessly but whenever I spin at a club that already has one theirs always has some sort of problem like sticky (or completely useless) buttons, joystick malfunctions, fader issues and crashes (happened last night to me for the first time) . This mixer is amazing but it is not very durable.
DJ Stuart (AR) 6:30 PM - 28 October, 2007
Mine works flawlessly. I did some deoxit on the buttons, but its working just fine now.
Evil_banana 4:55 PM - 15 November, 2007
Mine too, no issues. the only things that I'm missing is a built-in 20" screen and a cooled cupholder to keep my beer nice and frosty.
