Buy TTM 57, get rid of SL1?

i'm getting ready to buy the TTM 57SL because i want to do video. I'm not feeling the steep price, so i thought i would sell my SL1 to cushion the cost.
is there any benefit of keeping the SL1 if i have the TTM 57SL? i spin 75% club and 25% mobile.
thanks

i kept mine...you never know when you're gonna need a back up. last weekend my crossfader on my 57 randomly wasn't working and didn't have time to diagnose the issue so i just ran home (my gig was right up the street from my house) and got my other mixer and SL1 and was able to do my gig no prob. luckily my crossfader simply came unplugged, but thank god for my SL1 for back up.

bought the 57 first...went back for the SL1 later. Don't want to drag my mixer out to the club and using the SL1 gets me down to just my Shure bag to kick it.

so no probs hooking up the 57 to the clubs mixer?
i'm worried about having to use the club mixer (no ability to unplug shit) with the 57sl for ssl only.

I kept mine, im glad too. On tuesdays i daisy chain two laptops with two sl1 boxes and spin on a friends equipment. I just walk in plug in the sl1 and start spinning after flipping the inputs switch. If i didnt have an sl1 i would have to get there super early let my friend use the 57 (which i would drop a single tear everytime he touched the fader or the gains too roughly), all though i would prefer it over anything since its so dam easy to use. Just keep it until you go broke :)

i'll just pull the clubs mixer out and use my own. i love that it's got every output type possible so no matter what type of cabling the club uses i can make it work. i also always come prep'd with a vast assortment of adapters and what not to make sure i can make any scenario work. and i usually am the only DJ for the night so i never have to worry about other cats using my mixer BUT on the rare occasion that i've got another DJ with me it's someone that i trust to use my shit.

To me, I don't think giving up the SL1 is such a great idea. Save up for the 57 if you really need it. I say this because not many clubs allow you to tamper with their equipment, even if it's just patching your shit into their system via rca-the club I spin at doesn't allow me to bring my own equipment, which I prefer to do. I am not too crazy about spinning on duals but I don't have a choice, do I? Lately, they installed an SL1 box because most of the djs use Serato now.
So again, keep that SL1 box, you never know where you're going to end up.

I am planning on getting the 57SL but will keep the SL1 just in case. You never know and plan ahead of times of where your spinning @. It will be less stressful situations to concur..

I keep mines cuz these faders will have problems sometimes like with my 56 I had, also like silence said most clubs dont want you to remove their mixer to hook yours up,they feel a dj club dj can dj on any mixer, which is true, unless your trying to be a club/battle dj whic wont work.so keep it and save for the 57,the thing I dont like about the 57 is I still have to touch my laptop to search for a certain song, but hey.

keeping your SL1 is also a good idea because when you're running two different dj's with two different laptops in one night you can daisy chain them so that you can switch directly from laptop to laptop just by changing your input source selectors.

i'm leaning more toward keeping the SL1 just in case. i guess i'll have to just suck it up and pay full price for the TTM 57 (grumble, grumble).
