when i play any of my samples and i put the cross fader in the middle or when im cutting the samples get really load so i have to move the fader to either channel one or two is there a way to level the sample banks to be even and not change when fading in and out with the fader. Im tryin to play my radio station IDs so usually i just leave it on one channel but i would like to actually be able to catch the record live while playing the IDs

This is what happens when you play the same sound out both channels at the same time. It's called constructive interference... en.wikipedia.org
So basically, you have the same sound (your sample) playing on both channels at the same time when the crossfader is in the middle, so their volumes will add together, and the resulting volume you hear is going to be louder than either side individually.

Consider two waves that are in phase, sharing the same frequency and with amplitudes A1 and A2. Their troughs and peaks line up and the resultant wave will have amplitude A = A1 + A2. This is known as constructive interference. So basically, you have the same sound (your sample) playing on both channels at the same time when the crossfader is in the middle, so their volumes will add together, and the resulting volume you hear is going to be louder than either side individually.

Yea man, I struggle with the same issue on the 57SL. I typically trigger samples during a mix or while I'm scratching or what have you and as soon as the 57 crossfader hits the middle the sample gets load a doubles up. Really no way around it since it's externally controlled via the 57.

do u think they can change that in a update, make it so it will only go out the master ?

Im going to guess that the 57 has a hardware limitation preventing it.
I hope that they would one day send it out the computer sound card. Maybe there is another reason why that wont happen.
This is why I dont really use the sp6

If you use just a few samples, put three on the left channel, and the same three on the right channel. You would essentially have 3 samples instead of 6 in each bank, but it works.

This should be considered in an upgrade. I understand constructive interference, But surely, if you can set the sp6 to play on the left or right, AND there is also the option to play over both then for that setting the output should be balanced regardless of where the crossfader is? I love slamming acapellas over the top of my mixes and this "bug" really gets on my nerves.
