A Quick FX Question

frazer Loveman 7:44 PM - 23 October, 2011
I have just recently bought a 57SL and im just getting used to it. It was between a Pioneer 909 and a 57 but as im a total Serato boff i went for the Rane.

Ok want i want to know is if its possible to set the fx up so if i was to push a button it would have a echo out and not come back in untill i push the button again. I want to have it sound like jazzy jeffs setup on his 909. I think he has it set up so when he lowers the fader it will automatically start the echo and fade out. I dont know if the 57 is able to do this?

I hope that makes sense.

The TTM 57SL has internal hardware base effects.

To access the effects within SSL, open the Hardware panel within the main screen and go to Group 6. The effect you're looking for is called Hold Echo :)

For details > serato.com < Group 6 on the TTM 57SL

Sorry, I'm not offering help on the effects. I just wanted to say that I've had a 909 since the end of 2005 until around the same time as you got your 57. I now also have a 57 and, as I have said in another post, I'll never look back.
