there should be a cut down rane 68 (maybe 4 band eq that kills Allen & Heath)

frist off im a big rane fan as for as mixers go i have had my ttm 56 for 10 years now. however i feel like there is to much going on with the 68 .

i think it would be great if there was a nice if there was a rane 68 ( rane 67 if u will ) with no fx and maybe a 4 band eq like Allen & Heath XONE-2-62 mixer for us eq tweaker djs .
knowing rane they will do it better.
the filter knob is there already why not change it to a eq:)
this rane 67 will have more playable cue buttons
and would be cheeper to buy :)

p.s seeing how there be no fx in the mixer it would be cheeper
also this mixer should be open to other sofewares via midi so that it can be used in a club with many other djs and there software.
lets face it not all djs use ssl (plz hate for that its just how it is)

Thanks for the feedback cross+fade.
I personally would prefer the filter over a hi/mid eq but a four band eq is nice.
The mixer is completely midi mappable to every other program.

I created a midi mapping for Traktor which allows you to scroll/load, trigger cues/loops, control the internal Traktor effects with the mic controls, etc.

Also, if you haven't already, read this article regarding using the USB insert to use/control VST effects within a DAW --> rane.com

The built in effects definitely add some cost. I could see the need for a stripped down version of the Sixty Eight for the users who use mostly internal effects.
Maybe in the future?

Look into the DB4. A lot of users are saying the 3-band isolator mode is way better then the 4-band on the Xone 92 and 62. It ain't cheap but if you got money for the Sixty Eight then you are in the same ballpark.
