am i right in saying that 1.8 video will only work with the ttm57sl and not no other mixers and then i nee da $200 software add on?

That would be correct. Video will only work with the 57 at first. It will be made for regular SL1 users at a later point in time. I would assume then you will need some type of MIDI controller/mixer to control the video aspect of it.

And yes video is going to cost extra.

I thought SL 1 users would be able to use the video i thought they just wouldnt get the all the effects that the 57 can do. i could be wrong? put me Dee.

Nope, no video for SL1 users initially.

The effects in the video have nothing to do with the 57, the only reason the 57 is needed is for controlling the video. The effects are handled by your graphics card.

I would imagine once they have the 57 version down they will add the midi support in from SSL so that SL 1 users can use the video plugin too.
