Mapping Serato software effects to new Group on 57?

DJ Tex 8:33 PM - 24 September, 2011
Hey guys,

Ive been wondering how to do this for a little while, I want to map the software effects to say Group 3 or 4 (I heard you can not map to group 6 because the internal effects live there and I want group 5 for Video SL effects still).

What i mean is if you watch the LigOne demo video, He had the Mod synth controlled by the transformer switch and the high pass filters on each channel on the P knobs.

How do I do this?

I think you have to be running the latest SSL release.

Download the user manual for the TTM 57SL from the Serato, Downloads, Scratch Live area and read page 38.

It defaults to group 5 if the DJ FX are enabled. If VSL is open, group 5 will default to that. If neither are enabled, group 5 controls recording. Again, all of this is covered in the manual on page 38.

It will tell you everything that can be assigned, what can be assigned to and how to assign it here

ok so im following the manual, It says you can map any button in groups 1-5 because 6 is locked to the internal DSP Effects.

It says to CTRL+click on a object (button knob whatever) and a menu will come up..... but no menu comes up.....

nevermind, I figured it out. Thanks Big Wiz, I just was not thinking all the way thru.

Incase someone is reading this and can not seem to get the ctrl+click to work, make sure your in the HARDWARE tab not in the DJ Effects tab.

shouldn't matter which ver you are running for the assign menu to come up but being able to assign the DJ-FX is only available in the newest ver of SSL (I think)

If you have a footswitch hooked up you can assign a lot of things to that as well and keep your hands free.
