Here is my 2 cent after checking out the mix's pls dont take it the wrong way just what i think you could do to make your mix's better


your mixing the beats in time with each other but the wrong beats so what happens is when you move the fader 100% to the next track you cut the other track in the middle of what ever the artist was singing about, most dancehall beats are 8 bars so the artists sings from bar 1 to 8 so what ever there singing about at the time in the song will end at bar 8, what if the person dancing to the song was singing along to the music even so the beats keep roll in time you piss them off if they love that track..



nice mix just 2 small things some off the mixs could be a bit tighter sometime after you mix the track you still here last track go to singing again then cut you would just need to cut the last part of the fader faster and some of the pull ups very shape stopping the flow..


nice big dog & bottle party riddim, just why you playing the music so fast it a mix cd/tape/ect that people would most likely gonna play at home or in the car ect... that speed is for a club when its overrrrrrr hype.


sorry bro you need a lot of work its like your just slaming the cross fader and what with the volume going hi and low the only thing right about that mix is the name mashup.

@ DJ LASHES i didn't get the chance to hear the mix that u said was too fast but in jamaica there is basically a crowd that loooovvveess the fast playing djs! i dont really like play music too fast but some dj here get their hype from that.

@ dj lash when you are juggling for dancehall you definitely build a hype when you turbocharge that bpm but that was my mix with the speed i,m gonna drop one without the spplit track so you can hear the juggling better.

am mix race english/jamaican i know how dancehall is played my sound is Ghettoforce i play all over the world with every top sound from stonelove, matterhorn, powpow, sentinal, trooper, bass odd, LP, Goldfinger, might crown, pick any world class sound ive played with them and also own a 90% dancehall night club ive been doing this 15+ years this month alone ive played over 17 shows each pulling 500 - 2000 people ....
what my point is with the mix!! that kinda speed is for a LIVE SHOW not a cd that your gonna play over and over again in your car or house its sound like the chipmunks just waiting to see alvin simon or theodore.

gonna check this later am on a slow internet right now long time i dont feel a good 1drop mix.. nowadays everyone fixed on gully/gaza

Nice mix i like the intro, thats what i been trying to say above about when track should fade in and out good work... there is a small timing slip around 3:50min but not so bad, also at 10:00mins thats mix left a gap scatching reggae is not the best idea as it slow so you dont really get that same feel as with up tempo music plus when you start that kinda scatch may sound better if you start it with the volume lower and build it up so it not so shape.
like hows you move from raggae to dancehall that will keep people play the mix.

Just something I put together last year and now have the guts to post it. Was my first time messing around with Garage Band.... The mix was recorded in iTCH and the sound effects were added in post production (I wanted a pure mix w/o any sound effects to make sure that the blends were on point; the songs' "echo" was done by fading out a looped segment). I was too lazy to go back and tweek some of the effects levels, so my apologies ahead of time....
