Serato and CDJs?

do Serato control cd's work on any cdj's?
I've been told they will work on Pioneer 1000 Mk3's but not Mk2s or 1s.

I usually lug my turn tables around but would be nice to be able to use cdj's at venues. A friend borrowed my serato and cd's to play on some 1000's, Mk2s I think, and it crashed 5 times at a venue.

It's never played up for me with turn tables

any clues as to why it would of crashed repeatedly when using cdjs for the first time? Someone borrowed my mixer and computer to use with pioneer 1000s and it all went pear shaped. never been a problem with vinyl.

What do i need to do to have a contious play with MK3 1000 and serato. When the 15 minut timer runs out the music stops so embarassing

i am assuming you are using REL mode - just loop the control signal CD (on the CDJ) & leave the loop on all night & you will be good to go

There is the in and out loop loop and the reloop button. You said loop the control signal ??? what exactly do you mean in terms of the control signal ?

just press the in button and 8 secs later press the out and your done should last the whole night all your doing is looping the control cd both buttons should be flashing after u set it u have to do it every time u turn the cdjs power switch on to start ur gig and play a set and loop so it never ends or gets to the 15 minute mark
