I consider myself to be a n00b. Just grabbed my 2nd setup of the TTM-57 + technics 1200's setup. I'm using a macbook. I find myself having issues setting cue points. I dunno if this would be considered an audio dropout. But the precision of the actual wave display and me scratching/moving the record to the exact point where i want to set the cue gets delayed. I literally have to move the record back and forth a couple of times as where before there was no delay/jerking of the wave display and i could set the cue point EXACTLY how I wanted it. I don't know what this is called. But it's something I never experienced before. I'm using a black macbook with 1gb ram and 2.16ghz processor. My last setup was exactly the same but I had a powerbook g4 with 1.25gb of ram. Could it be something with the firmware upgrade on the TTM 57 ? I'm sure its something simple that I'm missing. I tried playing with the usb audio buffer settings as well as the audio cache but its strange. I will be getting another stick of ram soon but I doubt that is really the issue. Any thoughts on this?
