Serato should have a quick Battle Tool file box on both sides, which you can load upto 15 essential battle samples that you can access on the fly very quickly... its tedious looking for a battle tool. when you got to worry about the next song after your done scratching with a sample.

Do what I do:
Make a crate called "Scratch Sounds"....
and import your "Ahhhhhh's", "Freesssshhh's", "Ahh Yeah!'s" etc.

I would really like a way to load 'special' files (samples, battle scratches, emergency bangers, whatever) WITHOUT switching, loosing place, or loosing focus on whatever crate Im in. and I really dont care how this is achieved.

Akiem, I think you catch my drift, sometimes you just need to and some flare to a mix, and not be scrolling in different crates... I have a lot of playlists and crates to scroll down through. The saved time by having a quick box would be dope...

Use the "prepare" section. It allows you to prepare tracks to play quickly and you can see your crate right under it.

I mentioned on a earlier post something like a "permanent prepare" window. which basically would be a new window next to the prepare window where the tracks do not get removed after u play them. rather you would remove them yourself. this would allow to have a section where you could have all the tracks, sound fx, battle sounds that you want to use often throughout ur set. i just thought it could be a really quick and easy feature to add.
before anybody jumps on me and say you could just have a crate for that, i believe this would be a more efficient and flexible way to manage records for a specific set (just like the prepare list is).
