Cleaning Control Records

AlxXx 3:23 AM 12 July 2005
Hi new to this board and fairly new to my SSL. Loving not to have to carry crates to the club. I was flipping to this forum and could not get answer on how or what to use to clean the control records. Please advise. Thanks in advance!

I used water and soap on real vinyls, worked pretty good.
Would it be a bad idea to use it on Serato records?
Is clean alcohol good?

Kid Stretch. I believe the control records and real vinyl are exactly the same as far as what they're made out of so water and soap should work fine. There are vinyl cleaners out there though in the form of a liquid or a spray.

2 parts 90% Isopropyl Alcohol diluted with 5 parts distilled water and one drop of lens cleaning solution (to get the static neutral) for every 1 liter of solution should work.

Wipe the vinyl with a microfiber cloth, no brushing.
