Look what Pioneer is doing with a DJM T1 official video:

Yes Pioneer did a video with the DJM T1 running Serato SSL !!!!
I don't know why they did that but I think that NI Traktor will not like it!

Maybe they will announce the 1st Pioneer SSL mixer aka the DJM S1 soon??

That's pretty awesome.

Love that the Traktor logo is on the start of the video and then the first thing you see is SSL vinyl.

They're probably trying to sell the mixer as scratch mixer first than anything else. I don't see why NI would not like it. NI themselves have done videos showcasing their products using Serato.

I belive you won need an interface ... its awsome cause it would be the first pioneer with serato built in. Am I wrong im talking base on what seen... there isnt much inf. Yet

Allow Pioneer company to make a mixer so Rane loses money in sales from there current mixers..? Its not going to happen.

I think I can now dig up this old topic !!!

Because beside the PLX 1000 I suspect Pioneer to build an associated scratch mixer soon !!!

Why?
1. Because turntables are mostly used by scratch djs
2. Pioneer has already scratch mixers but they are old (707 and 909) and not fully aligned to their current strategy (DJM T1, no more partnership with Traktor )
3. Pioneer can now use timecode with Serato (DJM 900 srt and DDJ SZ)
4. Pioneer has picked up the legendary Dj QBERT and SHORTKUT to promote the PLX 1000 !!!
5. A Serato scratch mixer is the only missing product in the Pioneer offering (the DJM 900 SRT is not built for that)

Since there is no midi controls in the PLX 1000, my guess is that there will be for sure a kind of DJM S1 which will be directly in competition with the Rane 62 !!!
