warning box says 'are you sure you want to send a form again (or something along those lines)"

Hi DJ Dub Cowboy,

This is a browser behavior that can't really be avoided. I wouldn't recommend going back to posts using the back button after posting, you simply need to refresh the page to view the new posts.

I don't mind working around it. I figure it has more to do with the latest safari update than changes to the site. I just noticed the new behavior and thought I should mention it in case it become widespread among users.
