Hey guys,
just wanted to make sure of a couple things before I took the plunge. Here are a couple things that the 57 has that I just want to make sure work like gold before i buy it?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
1. You can easily record sets just buy using SSL and 57 (No more extra computer or third party software).
2. I heard it was capable of having 4 lines..what I mean by this is, if you need to play a cd you can take out the control cd and insert the music cd and twist a knob and you should be good to go?
3. You can use it as an SL1 box if the clubs setup doesnt allow you to use your 57?
Thanks guys.

1) yes ... (just select mix from the record menu)
2) the 4 inputs are can be set at line or phono so you can use CDJ's thru & SSL out
3) yes but its not really a nice set-up...see here

sorry didn't read question 2 correctly...
2) yes... just switch the input selector from "Analog" input (normal CD's) to "digital" input (control CD's)

thanks d twizzle.
wow i got a couple scares when using it that got me shittin bricks.
1) plugged it into my mac. open SSL. boom, the resart screen of death. over and over!
i was sayin, "WTF!"..finally i tried updating my SSL to the current version. boom it worked.
2) i noticed...why the fuck isn't the VU meters workin!! pressed 50 combinations of buttons. nothing worked.
but i noticed blinking from inside. searched the forums, apparently it happened to some guy also.
The adhesive on the VU meter thing wasn't sticking to the ceiling of the mixer. Kept coming off...Super glued that bitch.
Whew...gave me a scare, but I'm glad i made the purchase and got over those humps.
this mixer is TOP OF THE LINE!!
