thru/line output improvment and txt output

i have 2 nice suggestions..

the first is why not make the serato scratch live box with a switch that u can pick if the output is line or thru and it goes through ONE PAIR OF RCA instead of the two pairs of rca that we use now..

why is it good ?
first of all , i don't think someone here is using the thru option while playing the line output (i don't think the crowd likes the timecode's rhythm :) )
the second , when you're going to a place that has only 2 channels but the channels can be switched line/phono and u still want to have the option to use the thru option u are pretty much stucked..
www.soundcraft.com
this mixer for example have 2 lines
and only line/phono switch , u can't switch between line/line...
think about it :)

second improvment..
add export text file to the crates or to the review section..
sometimes you want to show others what u played , or have it written in text file , it would be a nice option i believe..

Now you can just one cable... but you would have to buy a 57 for that feature
well here is the issue with the one RCS though thing on the SL1 box.... if you are using vinyl (wich is phono input) you cant send it to the line level input that SSL needs. the through is just that... a through with NO sound processing going on with SSL. your mixer's preamp is powering the trough signal (i might be wrong on this though).. and in line level there is no preamp to allow the through to work corrctly.

as for the second thing.. I believe you can already do this using the ScratchTools thing (but its not realy a part of SSL)
see here www.scratchlive.net for more info

i'm not going to buy the ttm57 for the simple reason. i won't work on a 2 channel mixer.

realy... then why did you post www.soundcraft.com as your mixer example?

whats wrong with a 2 channel mixer? if you are using a multichannel mixer.. why not put the LINE through's into the other channels on your mixer?

i don't use soundcraft. i gave it as an example. i own pioneer djm-600.

and that's what i'm doing but i'm running out of channels.
i think it would be much wiser to put a switch on the SSL SL1 box. you're not using the THRU and the LINE in the same time , never. unless you want to play to the crowd the TIMECODE cd :)
