I think it would be helpful if the starter of a thread had a little sticky next to his name where it reads "thread starter". Many times I have to scroll all the way to the top again and look who actually started the thread.
Maybe you like the idea and eventually implement it.

Especially when it is about technical issues I want to know who started it.
Whenever many people join a thread and give advice or ask additional questions, it is important to me not to forget who actually asked the initial question.
It would help to stay on topic and to keep the direction of a thread.
