I just thought this was kinda funny. I would be a little irritated too if a headliner was in my ear complaining about what I was doing. I probably wouldn't go that far though.

Lol. Who knows maybe this opening DJ was playin all the hottest songs to early or playin songs from Deadmaus set. But we've had threads on this before, if your a good DJ, you should be able to adjust and still rock the crowd.

It wasn’t to the back of the head, it was in the face, and it was only after Deadmau5 got rough with a fan who wanted a photo. The guy was a jerk.
It had nothing to do with music and everything to do with a huge ego.
I’m sick of seeing these big name idiots throwing their weight around.

It was last year and it was Rusko. He almost murdered him. deadmouse is a bitch.

I'm a fan of DM and will always be..I think he is talented as a producer…but that being said I know from experience he can be kind of "uppity" and act like a douche. He's one of those guys that unless you are on his level or got a pair of Tits he won't even give you the time of day.
Last NAMM show I saw him and asked for a pic with him and he said "ah yea..hold on" ..He was looking with Tommy Lee at a new program that BT was showing them…so I didn't bug him and just waited for them to finish…Once he was ready to move on..I was standing right next to him and was ready to just take a quick one…He said "No I won't do pictures in here"…Mind you this is after he said he would and watched me wait for about 35min…So yea..not exactly the most friendly guy ..I can understand why the Dj felt he needed to punch him..I would too ;)

The DJ was Rusko and it was only like a year ago!

Yeah thats weak man. All of the different DJ's i've met whether they were from just outta town, celebrities, turntabilist legends or just well respected DJ's have always been really cool down to earth people. I think most REAL DJ's have respect for other REAL DJ's no matter what level they happen to be on. Because ultimately all REAL DJ's have the love of music and entertaining people in common. But i suppose you gotta have those few "im too cool for you, don't talk to me" guys out there.

Oh yeah thats right. I guess a "producer". Well whatever. If you go in from a crowd of people and you play music and they dance to it then your a DJ for the most part.

I also saw deadmau5 at NAMM a couple of times with Tommy Lee talking about dj gear and that made me go, HUH? Great producer, but that only gets you so far...in regards to being a dj, well anyone can sound great on ableton live by pressing play.

i hear you guys, but this guy is sinking.I mean who goes on twitter and crys about another artist smoking some weed backstage. Now that he actually got the balls to go into a dj booth and talk smack to a dj, he got put in his place. You can be the greatest artist, but once you get a bad wrap and stop being humble, you slowly fade away.

What a joke . He "reamed" his agent for something no agent would have control over, or that anyone should even worry about. To boot he bans a whole city for it. I do think its a pretty good sign that when the whole front row is glued to their phones. You sir are over.
It seems he probably is surrounded by a bunch of users who have told him he can do no wrong for too long....that and probably mountains of coke.....
